God’s Suddenly from Discouragement
Last week we spoke about God’s Suddenly from bareness. We saw from Gideon’s life that we have a part to play – it is to be humble and obedient to God.
Today we look at another one of God’s suddenlies.
God’s Suddenly From Discouragement
Exodus chapter 14 – Israel is set free from bondage. They are set free physically, they aren’t yet set free from being slaves in their thinking.
The enemy pursues and traps them in a canyon, up against the sea – after so many years of slavery under the enemy- you can’t even remember when deep discouragement didn’t exist, when your family was not in poverty or just living from week to week – this is a multigenerational curse of slavery and it becomes ingrained in your being as a sense of heartless discouragement.
You may feel ready to submit to a watery death or a spear death that the enemy has designed for you – have you utterly lost heart?
Has it been so long since anything as gone your way? Is everything you do a struggle?
Is everything a battle and you can hardly stand to fight another one? Your ready to take the lashes of your master if you can survive the final slaughter.
