You have forgotten that there is always Someone who is always there for you. There is always Someone who is more than willing to listen to you anytime you need it. Yes, God is always there for you. God wants you to be happy.
However, the rest is up to you. If you allow yourself to be swallowed by stress, anxiety, and sadness, you will end up distraught and miserable. Here are easy ways to help you deal with stress.
1. Help others.
There is this unexplainable feeling that you get in helping others. When you help others, you will forget about the things that are bothering you. Instead of feeling so sorry about yourself and your problems, you will feel like for a moment that there is someone who needed and appreciated your help.
In addition, you will see that there is no need to frown as there are many others who are facing more difficult problems than yours. So cheer up, the world needs your help today.
“He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.” –Proverbs 22:9
2. Learn to forgive.
He who does not forgive wears a heavy heart. Just forgive others for the mistakes they have committed.
Stressing out over what had happened and dwelling in the past will never do you any good. Instead, just keep moving forward. Forgive everyone and yourself and try to do things better as you go on with your life.
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.” –Leviticus 19:18
It is contagious. Instead of spreading around a sad face, why not smile? It makes your pain a little more bearable. In no time, I am sure that other people will smile with you too. All you need is to smile and you will suddenly feel like the world is a better place to live in. In addition to that, it is the best beauty secret ever discovered.
“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” –Psalm 30:5
4. Think positive.
Always look at things in a positive light. You might be experiencing terrible things today but don’t worry about that. God does not give what you cannot carry. These are just tests that you need to go through because He is preparing you for something that is way bigger.
Just hold on, my friend. God has better things in store for you. Just smile and keep your head up high.
“Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen” –Hebrews 11:1
Remember that you have a God who is all knowing and seeing. He knows all your strengths and weaknesses, faults and goodness yet He never leaves you. Surrender everything to Him and you will find peace.
“Through prayer, you can gain control of any negative, self-defeating thoughts and turn your life around. Just tell yourself: I can do all things in him the strengthen me”-Philippians 4:13
Do not let stress eat you up. You are not alone. Remember that there is always a supreme being that is always present for you in every unexpected twist and turn in life. I hope that you will be relieved of the stress that you have been feeling with the tips in this post.
Have a stress-free day ahead and God bless.
