ImagineGhostwriting.com has been lauched!

I woke up with a thought “Why do I take things only so far?” I’ve had almost everything to go with my book and toolbox for Imagine Ghostwriting. I just needed to get the site up. I wrote this because of the many questions people asked me about Ghostwriting. A lot of those questions are answered in the book. I started ghostwriting because I had so many people ask me for help with their book. They had a message to [...] Read more »

We suddenly got summer here in the fall. I’m not complaining cause this could be all. More than the leaves are soon to be changed. There could be a lot more to be rearranged. So this is a short newsletter for you. To the 49 new ones “How do you do?” Email me and I’ll answer back. I’ll try to be nice and even use tact. A New Newsletter Format In the Fall

Over the summer I’ve been sending out a shorter version of the weekly newsletter. Still it’s the best way for me to connect with my readers every week. I have a 20% – 45% recorded open rate and a clickthrough sometimes over 22%. The think I’ve been noticing is that Thursdays, when I send out the newsletter, is the biggest sign up and sales day for me in the week. Apparently people are forwarding my newsletter to friends and clicking [...] Read more »

Why Does Our New Year Start With Death?

The kids are in their first day of school. They’re too cool to admit it, but they were both up bright-eyed and bushy-tail chattering like squirrels as they realized it was another hour before school started and they could have slept in. I’m not really expecting the same response the day after Labour Day. Around here September is the start of the year. The kids are back in school, families are back from holidays, the schedule picks up in church [...] Read more »

Where Did the Summer Go?

Our kids are back in school one week from today. They are doing what they can to drink the last of the nectar of summer. I’m sort of looking forward to a more regular schedule. Lots of possibilities on the horizon. I know I need to make more time for God to show me His best. Too often we settle for the good and the  vinedresser needs to remove the good to get the better and remove the better to [...] Read more »

What Do You Do With A Conflicted Dog?

I suppose it’s over a year ago we took in a dog rescued from a puppy mill. She was only three, but obviously was a mother a few times over. She’s a little shy, but loves our daughter and likes to cuddle with just about everyone…but me. She has a few idiosyncrasies. She’s frantic to get away from cameras – probably because she’s seen them before they took her puppies away. She often takes her food to another part of [...] Read more »

Spending Time with Kids is Great

Last week I was able to go camping with my son and his older cousin (and my brother-in-law who took care of everything). I think it was the first time I went to Kananaskis and did I ever come away impressed. For those of you who have heard of Banff, Kananaskis is just to the east of Banff and has a number of provincial parks. Banff is the tourist destination. Kananaskis is a little closer to nature. It was absolutely [...] Read more »

How to Encourage A Person in Ministry

I’ve had another reader ask me: “Hey pastor, I wanted to donate to your online ministry so I ordered two books from you.  You should have a way of donating after writing all the answers to the questions you get.  Does asking for a gift offering  not fall in your comfort zone? Answering in detail like you have done for me takes time and work.” This isn’t the first time I’ve been asked if people can donate. I’ve hesitated because [...] Read more »

Taking Time With Daddy

Just got back from a morning fishing expedition with my son. We didn’t catch anything, but I only had to cut a line 3 times to untangle. That to me is a successful day trip. We’re going to look for a more productive fishing hole. It would be great to make it something we do for the rest of summer. I’ve been working to finish up a ghostwriting project so I didn’t think I was blogging as much as I [...] Read more »

Is THAT His Brains?

Welcome once again to the new subscribers of Life Above the Negativity, Expectancy Press and RevTrev.com. I’m amazed at the incredible people God’s been connecting me with around the world. One thing I do is spend more time with the family in summer and the story I want to [...] Read more »

Will Disneyland Be in Heaven?

I want to once again welcome all the new subscribers to this newsletter. 40 Days for Life Above the Negativity list is growing without any extra effort on my part. That tells me people are going through some difficult times…or preparing for something good. I’ve seen a lot of Christian leaders encouraging us to give up negativity, we’re in a season of reaping what was lost. Keep strong. You’ve made a great decision to think about what you think about. Why Did We Launch ImagineGhostwriting.com?

My company Ask and Imagine has just announced the launch of ImagineGhostwriting.com. First off, the book is written by A. Ghost, so I can neither confirm or deny I did anything but help publish and promote it. Let’s just say I get so many people asking me about ghostwriting and there is so little information available so we decided to write down what I wished I knew before I began as a ghostwriter. I’ve sent it out to a few [...] Read more »

How Not to Teach Greek to a 3 Year Old

It’s summer hear in the Northern hemisphere and most of us agree…it’s about time. Where I’m at we had a month of rain in 3 days so it was comical the moment the clouds broke everyone in suburbia who had garbage pick up the next day was out cutting grass. I had to duck in as a thunderstorm passed but I’m got to say I’ve never seen the lawn look so good. I forget we never watered the grass in [...] Read more »
