The church used to hold the concept of “Christus Victus” – that is Christ is victorious. This means that we’re in a battle and God’s will isn’t always done. That changed over time to an idea that God wove a tapestry with all our troubles that turned all things to the good.

While ultimately it is true all things work together for good for those who love have been called, it doesn’t mean God tempts us with evil or approves of the wrong done to us.

It’s His body, His bride, His church that is left here to do – by the power of the Holy Spirit – what Jesus Christ did in the flesh. Our first step to doing that is to choose to live unoffended at the Father.

I know all this but I have really never experienced it the way that Jesus hoped or knew that we needed to walk in intimacy with him. I know Faith, but imagine marrying your wife and not experiencing any other positive emotions of that experience and just having to accept that you have a document. I know Jesus loves me but in this life I am still so < !@#$>… and his love is something I will have to wait for until I die. I have tried to experience it for 25 years and I am tired of waiting for his love to break through. Cheers
