God is Good. He’s in a Good mood. He rejoices over you with singing. This is all good. It’s all great. It’s all milk. Somedays
we need that reminder, we need that encouragement. But if that’s all we get we never grow and we’ll never mature.
That God is Good and He’s in a good mood needs to be our core understanding, but we need to grow from there.
When we have faith in God we do certain things because of our faith that He’s good and in a good mood. We do thinks like:
- Reading the Bible,
- Prayer,
- Soaking,
- Forgiving
These are things I do because I have faith that God is not out to get me, but that He’s for me and has plans to prosper me and not to harm, plans to have a hope an a future. It’s fun spending time with a God who’s excited about you and the dreams He’s given you.
What do you do because of your faith in God? How does your faith adjust how you live? What disciplines do you do that brings freedom for your life?
Love to have your comments on this one.

I recently have been studying the Book of James and it ties well to this post. James talks extensively about acting on Faith not just having faith. For me particularly, placing my Faith in God affects my life by giving me the conviction to witness to others (through actions). When someone says “how can you do that after what you’ve been through?’ the answer is easy – God allows me to do it, because I believe in Him!
Thanks for sharing Bruce. That’s great advice.
Checked out your blog. Keep up the great work. I’m a bit of trekkie myself. Oh, BTW I’ve whitelisted you so you can post without moderation. Thanks for being trustworthy.
I pray that God will hold this ministry, please pray for me. I love do the work of God, but sin is holding back.
Please pray for me.
Adeusi,
I’m praying for you. If you need help overcoming sin, I’ve written quite a bit about how I’ve learned to overcome it. http://revtrev.com/cat/overcoming-sin/ . Don’t fight a corpse. You are dead to sin. Now be alive for Christ. You can do it. It’s God’s will for you.
Pacing my faith in God brings me peace and hope. When I sit down and pray or meditate on His word, it brings me back to a peaceful place – that it really is in His hands. Even when things do not seem to be going our way.

Thanks Julie. Slowing down to realize His Kingdom of righteous, peace and joy is within me does it for me as well. I need to do it more than daily, that’s for sure.
