I Am Valuable – Day 19

fast from negativity with help from Trevor LundTruth:

But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, Jacob,  the One who got you started, Israel:?”Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.?   I’ve called your name. You’re mine.?When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.?   When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.?When you’re between a rock and a hard place,?   it won’t be a dead end–?Because I am God, your personal God,?   The Holy of Israel, your Savior.?I paid a huge price for you:?Isaiah 43:1-2 (The Message)

Thought:

How many times have you heard someone mutter “worthless” under his or her breath? If you listen closely, sometimes you hear “I’m” before “worthless”. Do you ever catch yourself saying something similar -”Loser”, “Stupid”, “Nobody”?

Stop it.Live Life Positively

While it’s tough to change that thinking on your own, you can renew your mind by the word of God. The Holy Spirit can quicken the thoughts of God for you. He can make them come alive and change you from the inside out. ??Although there are many solid Christians reading this right now, I know we are all connected to people who need to live the truth of how God sees them.  So I’m just going to point you to Negativity Fast.

We have a tool to help everyone personalize his or her identity in Christ. Click on Resources, select the appropriate link, fill in your name – or the name of your kids – or the name of someone you are going to email to encourage. Press the button and print off your personalized Identity in Christ. ??I did the following for my daughter Taiessa.

This is just the first part, because today we need to know that in Christ, you are valuable.

Taya  Is Valuable.

John 1:12 Taya is God’s daughter.

But Taya received Him, and to Taya He gave the right to become?God’s daughter, because Taya believes in His name.

John 15:5 Taya is a part of the true vine, and a channel of Christ’s life.

I am the vine. Taya is a branch. If Taya remains in Me, and I in?her, she will bear much fruit, for apart from Me, Taya can do?nothing.

John 15:15 Taya is a friend of Christ.

No longer do I call Taya a servant, for a servant doesn’t know what?her lord does. But I have called Taya a friend, for everything that?I heard from My Father, I have made known to Taya.

Rom. 8:17 Taya is a joint heir with Christ, she shares Christ’s inheritance with Him.

And if a daughter, then an heir; an heir of God, and a joint-heir?with Christ; if indeed Taya suffers with Him, that Taya may also be?glorified with Him.

I Cor. 3:9 Taya is God’s co-worker.

For Taya is one of God’s fellow workers. Taya is God’s field, God’s? building.

I Cor. 3:16   Taya  is God’s temple.

Don’t you know that Taya is a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit?lives in her?

Eph. 1:5-6 Taya has been adopted by God as His daughter.

Having predestined Taya for adoption as a daughter through Jesus?Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His desire, to?the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He freely bestowed?favor on Taya in the Beloved.

Eph. 1:11 Taya has an inheritance in Christ.

In Him also Taya was assigned an inheritance, having been?predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things?after the counsel of His will.

Eph. 2:5-6 Taya has been made alive with Christ and she is seated with Christ in the heavenly places.

Even when Taya was dead in her trespasses, God made her alive?together with Christ (by grace Taya has been saved), and raised ?Taya up with Him and made Taya to sit with Him in the heavenly?places in Christ Jesus.

Eph. 2:10 Taya is God’s workmanship, His handiwork.

For Taya is His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good?works, which God prepared before that Taya should walk in them.

Col. 1:27 Christ Himself is in Taya.

To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the?glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in Taya,?the hope of glory.

Col. 3:3 Taya ‘s life is hidden with Christ in God.

For Taya died, and her life is hidden with Christ in God.

Taiessa is valuable because God places His value on her, and so are you, because He does the same for you.

Prayer:

Lord, forgive me for repeating the words of death spoken over my life. Thank You for the words of life that flow from You. Thank You for calling me valuable – for calling me a child, a friend, an inheritor, a co-worker, and Your workmanship. Thank you, Lord, for not making any junk.

Challenge:

Speak these words of life over yourself today. If you have an accountability partner, speak them over him or her as well. The words of life come from Christ. We need to speak the same.

Declaration:

I choose to believe what God says about me. I choose to live out of what I choose to believe. I choose to replace the lies that have attached themselves to wounds from my past with the truth of how God sees my situation and me.

Morning RevTrev – I had to wait on Day 19 – because somehow I deleted your Email. I’m glad I did. I love it that you used your daughter’s name to personalize the verses. And your suggesting to do it with my own name or personal pronoun is one worth remembering. Another way I like to read verses is to say “Jesus” whenever a pronoun is used like he, him, or his…..definitely keeps my focus on the Son!
The negativity fast has been another tool in the renewing of my mind! Thank you. I was discussing blogs and book reviews with my old pastor and when I mentioned the Negativity Fast, his eyes shone and his ears perked up. I am proud to be part of your team, and to represent Him – (Jesus! LOL…)
One phrase I’ve heard in recovery – and it fits a little with recognizing and protecting my value – “What other people think about me is none of my business.” Sounds harsh – but their negative judgements are condemnation – their compliments lead me to pride. I am valuable to God….and that is more than enough! Be Blessed!
