I Am Victorious – Day 21

Truth:

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?  As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:35-37 (New Living Translation)

Thought:

Why is a clock that is five minutes late more dangerous than one that is five hours early???Because we pick up on lies that are way off, but the ones that seem to be truth we can more easily trust.

What did satan do when he tempted Christ in the desert? He used the truth about Jesus’ situation and the partial truth from the word of God to tempt Christ into believing his version of the truth.??And he uses the same tactic with us today. ??How often do we live as if we believe “the overwhelming victory is ours through Christ?” Be honest. It’s usually the trouble or calamity, or persecution, or hunger, or destitution, or danger, or threats of death that really grab our attention.??It’s time we replace those lies with the truth. I’ve used my son Kian as an example, but if you haven’t done it yet, go to LifeAbovetheNegativity.com and print off your own personalized Identity in Christ.

It is so critical we live out of how God sees us. This is simply a tool to get it into your thinking.

Kian  Is Victorious.

John 8:31-32 Kian has been set free.

If Kian remains in My word, then he is truly My disciple. Kian will?know the truth, and the truth will make him free.

Rom. 6:1-4 Kian died with Christ and he died to the power of sin’s rule over his life.

What shall we say then? Shall Kian continue in sin, that grace may?abound? May it never be! If Kian died to sin, how could he live in?it any longer? Or don’t you know that when Kian was baptized into?Christ Jesus, he was baptized into His death? Kian was buried with?Him through baptism to death, that just as Christ was raised from?the dead through the glory of the Father, so Kian also might walk?in newness of life.

Rom. 8:37 Kian is more than a conqueror in Christ.

No, in all these things, Kian is more than a conqueror through Him?who loved him.

II Cor. 2:14 Kian is led triumphantly by Christ.

But thanks be to God, who always leads Kian in triumph in Christ,?and reveals through Kian the sweet aroma of His knowledge in every?place.

Gal. 2:20 Kian was crucified with Christ.

Kian has been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer Kian who?lives, but Christ living in him. That life which Kian now lives in?the flesh, he lives by faith in the Son of God, who loved Kian, and?gave Himself up for him.

Phil. 4:13 Kian can do all things through Christ.

Kian can do all things through Christ, who strengthens him.

II Tim. 1:7 Kian has been given a spirit of power, love and self-discipline.

For God didn’t give Kian a spirit of fear, but of power and love?and self-discipline.

I John 5:4-5 Kian has overcome the world.

For Kian is born of God and overcomes the world. This is the?victory that has overcome the world: Kian’s faith. Kian overcomes?the world because he believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

What is true with Kian is true for you.

When your circumstance – even though it can be through no fault of your own – is contrary to the will of God expressed in Scripture, are you going to believe the Bible or your circumstance?

Having Jesus as your Lord means He’s in the driver’s seat of your life.  It means when my life doesn’t line up with Scripture, I change my life to agree with God. I can’t ignore truth that He’s revealed and I can’t say it doesn’t apply to me. ??You are victorious. Believe it and live it!

Prayer:

Lord, forgive me for looking at my circumstance instead of trusting in Your truth. When life in a fallen world happens, I haven’t always run to You as I should have. I know Your plans for me are good because You are good. I know Your plans are to prosper me and not to harm me and to give me a hope and a future. I know that in Christ I am more than a conqueror and I choose to praise You in the storm.

Challenge:

Take the verses listed under the “Kian is Victorious” section, look them up and meditate on them. Think about how much God loves you, despite your circumstance and praise Him before the answer comes.

Declaration:

I choose to believe what God says about me. I choose to live out of what I choose to believe. I choose to replace the lies that have attached themselves to wounds from my past with the truth of how God sees my situation and me.
