I agree, and thank you for expressing all the different ways that we can 'hear' from God. This is how people 'hear' God: by Feeling it, by Seeing it, by Reading it, by Thinking it, by Saying it, by Dreaming it, by Experiencing it, or by Hearing it (from God directly or from the mouths of others - how often have YOU heard God through the lips of a stranger?)

But, yes, we have to learn HOW to hear Him.

I like the passage about Elijah, the great man of God - He didn't hear God through a burning bush or through a thunderous voice in the sky (as others had), but through a "gentle whisper". Here's the story:

'The LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by.”

'Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

'Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:11-13)

It helps explain the reason why we are told, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).

Joseph,

Thanks for connecting and sharing. I check out your blog - keep up the great work. Next week I'll be posting a series based on the sermon I'm sharing this week. "How to Get the Good God Has For You".

I don't mean to set up a 10 - step plan for no pain in this life, but I know using words like "How to" and numbering lists grabs people's attention online. The point being, I'll be sharing a number of verses you may want to reflect on and share your thoughts on your site. God seems to be leading us the same direction.

Blessings

Thank you brother for sharing. I had to reach out and do a search for others that see these things. I thank God for you. Sometimes, I break down in tears thinking I'm going insane, but then He answers and encourages me. I asked why Lord? Why? And repeatedly He answered "Reveal the things I show you." So anyways.. it's good to know I'm not alone. When the unseen becomes seen, it becomes disturbing to the conscious at first. Then I realize what's going on, and I say "Praise God!!! In accordance to the flesh, I'm going insane!" lol.

Anyways, I wanted to touch on the word "coincidence". The root is coincide -
1 a : to occupy the same place in space or time b : to occupy exactly corresponding or equivalent positions on a scale or in a series
2 : to correspond in nature, character, or function
3 : to be in accord or agreement

So yes, a coincidence is a coincidence of God. Man has begun to change the meaning into happenstance.

Anyways, if you want to see more about these testimonies/revelations from the Lord, check out some of the testimonies here.. I could always use encouragement. The recent manifestation into the physical world took place this week: Jesus is the Door. http://www.serious-things.com

Bless your obedience heart brother. I love you,
