Welcome to all the new RevTrev readers since the last newsletter I
sent. It seems like forever since I’ve updated you about
Your Book.

This really isn’t a newsletter about RevTrev.com.

I wanted to let you know what I’ve been up to this summer. We’ve
launched TheAuthorAcademy.com and if you’re a writer you’ll want to
go there and download “Your Book Marketing Plan Workbook”. When you
do you’ll get links to video training that teaches you to how to
create a workable book marketing plan.

If you’ve just downloaded one of my books or trainings and this is
the first announcement you’ve received you may not know my story.

In 2005 we laid our family, friends, future and finances on the
table and moved to New Zealand sensing that was where God wanted
us. My dad was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS and by the end of the year
we moved back to Canada to be with the family and help my dad
publish his book before he died. Since that time I’ve ran a number
of different types of publishing houses, been a ghostwriter and
co-writer, and have written a number of books myself. Last year I
started calling myself a “Book Shepherd” because of many different
things I do to facilitate people’s books.

I really do enjoy helping people make their book matter.

But I’m only one person and my passion and main calling is to be a
pastor. So I’ve created the Make Your Book Matter Formula to train
authors how to create a platform that matters. It’s a 9 module
course that starts with “Why Your Why Matters” and covers:

Growing your social networks;
Setting up your online hub;
Writing skills writers need to market well;
Online automation for authors;
Social media strategies;
Online strategies;
Media strategies;
Kindle strategies; and
Ongoing marketing strategies

I’m also excited about the community tools we have for authors to
help promote each other’s books, send out press releases, create
campaigns and marketing plans…all inside TheAuthorAcademy.com. We
have over 11 hours of training available as well. There are more
tutorials and tools on the way, but for now it’s still amazing what
we have available. If you want to see what we’ve been able to set

I need to thank the many of you who have sent an email, tweet or
Facebook message saying you’re praying for us. It means so much. I
am amazed at what we’ve been able to put together. It’s really been
a God thing…not an easy thing…but a God thing.
