Can I Overcome Sex Addiction?

Here’s a question I get far too often. Don’t worry, I know there’s hope for people struggling with sex addiction. Here’s what I’ve answered a reader this week.

Question:

I’m struggling with sex addiction and I’m not making any progress to overcome it. Any advice?

Answer:

I’m working on a project to help people with this. What I’ve seen from others is really good at condemning, but for the most part does nothing to help them especially with issues of masturbation and pornography. I’m just assuming this is at least some of what you’re struggling with.

Don’t worry, whatever it is, you can live up to what you’ve already attained. The good work He’s started in you will be completed. You haven’t done anything to make God disillusioned with you because He had no illusions about you in the first place.
