How to Conquer the Lust of the Flesh and Eyes

Here is a question another reader sent me. So many people ask similar questions that I really need to finish up the book I’ve been working on….leave your advice and maybe it will make it into the book (with you being properly cited).

Question:

Hi revtrev. First I want to thank you for the emails you’ve been sending me. About Living Life Above the Negativity. They built me up. I want to request you to help me cover or build up on accountability, responsibility and how to conquer the lust of the flesh and eyes. Will be grateful to hear from you.

Answer:

Thank you so much for your encouraging email.

Regarding your questions, I’m actually working on a big project on the topic. You can see the beginnings of it in posts on the topic of overcoming sin.

Send me your questions after you read what I wrote. I’ll be pleased to answer the best I can.

I’m praying for you. You can experience life the way God intended.

~Trevor

  1. Sharla says:

Whenever I struggle with lusts of the flesh, I am reminded of Joseph. When his master’s wife was trying to seduce him, he ran away. He even left behind the coat his father gave him in his haste. If I find myself in a position of temptation, I try to get out of that spot as quickly as possible. If I need to physically remove myself from someplace I will. If I end up looking foolish or am accused of being rude, unfriendly or anything else, at least I know my motives are pure.
