Training and Encouragement Will Be More Structured on RevTrev.com in 2012. I’ve decided to pull my knowledge of social marketing and blogging, and book writing, publishing and marketing into RevTrev.com. If you’ve gone to revtrev.com this week you would have noticed some more changes. I’ve been working on them for a while and really have been pleased by how they’ve turned out. The slider in the header I’ll change to go to landing pages for main topics I blog about. I’ve had this continual thought: “You need to be thankful” confronting me at the weirdest times. Knowing I’d be reminding myself as I remind my readers to be thankful, I decided to make it the topic of this week’s newsletter. I got some information on what makes a good newsletter. To my surprise, I’m actually doing almost all of it. I realized I shouldn’t try to get everything in I want to in a week and that’s it’s OK to mix up features. All that being said, I’ll stop calling these “short” newsletters. The kids are in their first day of school. They’re too cool to admit it, but they were both up bright-eyed and bushy-tail chattering like squirrels as they realized it was another hour before school started and they could have slept in. Last week I was able to go camping with my son and his older cousin (and my brother-in-law who took care of everything). I think it was the first time I went to Kananaskis and did I ever come away impressed. For those of you who have heard of Banff, Kananaskis is just to the east of Banff and has a number of provincial parks. Banff is the tourist destination. Kananaskis is a little closer to nature. Just got back from a morning fishing expedition with my son. We didn’t catch anything, but I only had to cut a line 3 times to untangle. That to me is a successful day trip. We’re going to look for a more productive fishing hole. It would be great to make it something we do for the rest of summer.
