I use this prayer at the start of my prayer time. It helps me remember to be aware of His presence throughout the day. May it help you as well.
Lord give me the capacity to do the things that need to get done, the awareness of your presence to know I’m doing what you have for me to do, the assurance to know you empower me to accomplish every good work prompted by faith.
And the grace for myself if I can’t see everything I’d like to get accomplished in the time I’d like it to be done. I know and trust Your purpose for me will be fulfilled, so help me act and pray like I trust that you will finish your good work in me. Help me rest in you when I pass my capacity.
Help me slow down enough to breathe…and be…and think…help me make space to dream with you. Help me to remember the things unseen and not to be caught up with things that don’t matter. Help me to focus on this day and not worry about the future.
May you bless me and extend my boarders. Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all plans of evil and all the direct or indirect consequences of ignorance or arrogance or accident. And may I not do anything in ignorance or arrogance or by accident that causes anyone pain.
Thank you that you showered your kindness on me, along with all wisdom and understanding, so everything is figureoutable. Thank you that you do all things well and make all things beautiful in their time.
And help me have the grace for others—knowing that since you’ll finish the good work in me, you will finish the good work you started in them—so I can think of them ahead of myself.
Thank you most people do what they do while thinking they are working from good. Help me stay curious and seek to learn the good they are working from, even when it’s not the good I’d expect. Let their good surprise me when I discover it lines up with your good.
Let me know who you want me to connect with or encourage today. Show me how you want me to connect with or encourage them. Give me your heart of compassion for them.
My eyes are open and expectant for every treasure you have for me to find today.
Today is going to be a great day. God is going to bless me with something amazing. No matter what happens, everything is figureoutable. I am so thankful for what He’s already completed and is completing in me.
An exciting new chapter of my life is starting today. I am allowed to be a work in progress. When I trust God it’s all on Him. He will finish the good work he’s started in me and empowers me to accomplish every good work prompted by faith. I have an important contribution to make to my everyday world today.
Thank you for being before me, beside me, behind me and in me. You are always with me. Help me be with you.
