I stand in the gap for my kids. Like Job offered sacrifices for his kids, I plead for my kids with my God—who loves them even more and even better than I ever could—and I speak to those forces out to steal, kill and destroy them.
I stand up against the way of thinking that have captivated my kids.
Any thought that sets itself up against the knowledge of Christ needs to be torn down.
The thought that say “the Bible doesn’t apply to me” or “I can’t believe in a God who would condone that” has to go. Replace it with a hunger for your word and a hunger for your presence.
Those thoughts come from a stronghold. It a stronghold that is the way of thinking that says “I know better than what the Bible teaches”.
It’s a stronghold that calls evil good and good evil. I speak to the veil in their minds that twists their thoughts. I speak to ignorance and arrogance and say “you must go!” No longer will I allow either to deceive my kids.
I tear down that stronghold in the spirit. It will no longer be a safe space for the enemy to attack my kids. I say to the mountain of selfishness and pride and say “Be removed and be cast into the sea”. No longer will my kids accept you as true.
Every imagination that sets itself up against the knowledge of God has to go. Every view of God—not revealed in Scripture—must be repented of.
It’s Your kindness that leads us to repentance. In the name a Jesus, my kids will stop from mistaking kindness with silence. Holy Spirit be free to break through the lies, tear down the walls, wipe away every excuse.
Surround them with people who will lead them to you. Remove everything and everyone who keeps them from you. Do what you need to do in and to them Lord—in the most gentle way it can be done—to draw them once again to you. Give them an unshakable faith.
Lord, may your grace interrupt their ignorance. Rise up and shatter the walls that have been erected.
May they wrestle with your Word and stop dismissing it. May lies wrapped up as truth become as repugnant to them as those lies are to You—the Father who loves them and created them the receive and hold His blessings in their lives. May they see things as they really are and not as how they imagine them to be.
I say this worldly culture will NO MORE have a hold on them. Not on my watch. My lack of prayer will not be the reason they settle for a life of less and lack. It will no longer be the reason they don’t acknowledge your rule and reign of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Sever any attachment in them for the evil of the world and free them to only be connected to you and your love.
Protect them from every attack of the enemy. Help them to trust in you and your power and not give place to the devil.
Where they have been taken captive by evil influence and destructive behavour, I pray you will set them free. Expose whatever needs to be revealed to your penetrating and all-seeing light so deliverance and freedom can come.
Work in their life to bring them into full alignment with you. May they know you better and better. Keep and protect them from the evil one. Open their eyes to see your truth so they can be free from deception. Smash any false idols in their mind that entice them of the path of blessing you have for them. Help them to not conform but be transformed so they can have peace and hope and joy at all times and in every situation.
I thank you Father so you so much greater than anything they are facing. I thank you that the promise of the Holy Spirit is for us and our children and all who are far off.
Thank you Father that You have said my children will come back from the land of the enemy and there is hope for them because my children will come back to their borders. Help them see their boundary markers have landed on pleasant places.
Thank you that you are with them today. Help them be with you.
